During the plenary, all proposed constitutional amendments were read and received unanimous approval from the members, marking a significant move to bolster the country’s security framework and align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s security initiatives. Amaewhule emphasized that the votes and proceedings regarding the establishment of State Police have been formally adopted as an official document for the House. Furthermore, it was noted that the House of Assembly will relay their decision to the National Assembly via an official communication.
