Ned Nwoko, the senator for the Delta North Senatorial District, and Regina Daniels, a Nollywood actress, have gotten into a heated argument over their continuous marital problems, which include accusations of drug usage and harassment. Nwoko said he paid for Sammy’s final two years at the University of Ekpoma, including the cost of musical equipment and an apartment in Abuja, and accused Daniels’ brother, Sammy, of harassing his kids and domestic workers.
Additionally, he disclosed that for the previous two years, he sent Regina’s mother an estimated ₦125 million. These recordings depict Sammy, Regina’s brother, visiting my house on a regular basis and intimidating my kids and domestic workers, particularly when I wasn’t present. On Saturday, Nwoko posted on his X account, “His visits were frequently aggressive and disruptive.” He further claimed that Sammy hindered Regina’s recovery by introducing her to drugs. Actually, she was originally introduced to and given these medicines by Lawrence and Sammy. He said, “They were deeply involved in the habit themselves, and instead of helping her get better, they kept luring her back into the same destructive lifestyle.”
The senator claims that his attempts to aid Regina’s recuperation caused conflict with her family. The physicians made it very plain when Regina began her therapy that her enablers should not be allowed to see her. Sadly, Sammy, Destiny, and a few of her friends consistently disregarded those directives. He said, “They would sneak in and bring her the same drugs she was receiving treatment for.” Nwoko also described an altercation in which Sammy allegedly showed up at his house at four in the morning and demanded a face-to-face after being ordered to take his girlfriend out of the house.
It was only four weeks ago that I noticed Regina was in my room and on the phone when I woke up at four in the morning. She was obviously high. Regina was dropped off by one of my drivers when I informed her that the girl had to go. Sammy arrived at my house thirty minutes later, yelling and insisting that I come downstairs to confront him. After a while, I had to go downstairs and tell the security to physically eject him from my compound. The degree of boldness was startling. Could he have been so brazen and disrespectful if he hadn’t been under the influence of drugs? Nwoko told the story.
Daniels responded to Nwoko’s accusations on her Instagram page on Sunday morning, acknowledging that she had used drugs in the past but rejecting her estranged husband’s accusations as fabricated, deceptive, and intended to damage her reputation. How could you lie so blatantly and with no remorse at all, Ned? You are aware that my family is completely unrelated to this. and now you’re attempting to disparage them without any justification,” she wrote. She maintained that their marital problems were not caused by her drug use:
“Okay, I took drugs,” she said. What does that mean? Is that really the problem between us? You realised it would make an ideal story for the media, something spectacular enough to divert everyone’s attention from the true problem, so you hurried to the public after our altercation and yelled, “Drugs, drugs, drugs!” Regina claimed that Nwoko was isolating her by going after her loved ones: “You want to find an excuse to arrest everyone in my immediate vicinity so that I have no one left to support me. I’ll have nowhere else to go when I’m totally alone and broken, so I’ll have to come back to you,” she said. She further claimed that Nwoko supported her drug use in order to appease him
Regina praised her parents’ reconciliation amid the public discussions, pointing out that her father and mother, who had been separated for years, were reconciled during her personal and family crises, particularly her brother’s detention. The actress acknowledged feeling overpowered by pressure, worry, and concern about her brother’s safety in a series of heartfelt videos posted online. Fans, relatives, and other performers are appealing for Sammy’s release and imploring both parties to defuse the escalating tension in response to her emotional outburst, which has caused a great deal of worry on social media.
